Paul Weller - "Bush Hall! Long may you run."
Bush Hall has achieved a great deal in running a totally independent venue, without funded support or external investment, for nearly 20 years. The term 'labour of love' is often used, and we can fully identify with this sentiment.
We have all been hit incredibly hard by the pandemic that surrounds us and the knock on effect will be far reaching.
We're heartbroken at the effect this is having on our industry. We send our love and best wishes to everyone we work with; performers, artists, promoters, agents and freelancers.
For Bush Hall the immediacy has been crippling on our cash flow, as 42 gigs and events have simply vanished from our diary in a matter of days, all of those were meant to be happening at Bush Hall over the next couple of months.
We simply cannot recover that.
We have never had the luxury of holding back money in reserve as everything goes back into the running of the venue with its overheads.
These remain constant and without the revenue coming in there is little or no way of covering the day to day costs, like staff salaries, contracted employees, sizeable utility bills, leased sound, stage and lighting equipment and running repairs. We are hoping lockdown doesn’t mean shutdown for us at Bush Hall.
We have had many of the great and good grace our stage, with many thousands that have listened, laughed, sung and danced below the chandeliers.
We now need help from you, it is something that does not come naturally to us, asking for help.
So here it is…
Please can you help Bush Hall remain what it is has become for the last nearly 20 years, a leading, vibrant, much loved independent music and events venue in West London.
If you have ever graced the space of Bush Hall, either as a performer, entertainer, punter, promoter, guest, customer or client and you have received an ounce of joy from us, then...
Donate or pledge to our crowdfunding in order that we may survive and recover, and give back to you in kind - music and much happiness.
Take care, see you on the other side.
Bush Hall xx
